I’ve heard it’s been said that the definition of Recession is when your neighbor is out of work.
And the definition of Depression is when you are out of work.
But the definition of Recovery is when Jim Oberstar is out of work.
Now this may be funny, but unfortunately it is also true. With everything going on in Washington these days it is time for men and women to rise up and say "enough is enough" and fight the good fight of freedom against the tide of socialism eroding our personal liberties in this country.
As your congressman, I will work to bring common sense thinking back to Washington with a limited and sensible government that is fiscally responsible. I will also work to uphold the constitution, especially the 10th Amendment which keeps power with the individual states. Finally I will work to advocate personal and financial responsibility and the free enterprise market to bring jobs and real growth back to our communities.
